Make Your Mental Health A Priority

Sharing a list of mental health tips that I have researched and learned in the past two years. I hope this helps some of you.


  • Write a gratitude list. Writing down all the family members/friends/jobs that you are grateful for helps keep a lot in perspective.
  • Practice meditation/prayer
  • Take a walk outside. Around your block. In the park. Just go outside!
  • Get adequate sleep. Turn off the TV. Get off your phone. Do not bring your laptop to bed with you.
  • Read more books!
  • Listen to fun podcasts
  • Eat more green veggies.
  • Breathe.
  • Explore. Try something new once a month.
  • Dance. Like nobody is watching. It doesn’t matter if you are good. Just enjoy!
  • Dance with a person you like spending time with (a friend or someone you love).
  • Find humor in things.
